At 23, when Jennifer Dion first began her career in real estate, she had been pursuing a nursing career when life presented an unexpected opportunity for growth. As a single mom of a young son diagnosed with Autism, she knew she needed a full-time career that would allow her to remain fully present as a mother while preserving her caregiving capacity for her son. Raised in a military family, adaptability came naturally. The decision became clear when she reflected on a childhood dream at age 12 — becoming a real estate agent for a local Colorado brokerage called Rawhide. With a lifelong interest in real estate and home improvement, the transition felt both natural and purposeful.

In her first year in real estate, Jennifer was named Rookie of the Year and Top Producer. Since then, she has worked in three major markets and achieved Top Producer status every year of her career. She also spent seven years as Director of Sales and Marketing for a high-end custom home builder in the Washington, DC area, where she developed deep expertise in new construction and home design from the ground up.

Jennifer made her son Jake an integral part of her real estate journey. Before COVID, he often accompanied her to open houses and showings, especially when clients brought their own children. By age five, Jake knew the open house routine — turning on lights, setting out refreshments, helping with signage and materials, and welcoming other children into the space. He had his own desk in her office for many years, and countless afternoons were spent working side by side.

Jennifer reflects, “Looking back, I am proud of my younger self for being brave enough to jump in and find a path forward. I love collaborating with people to find their home and helping them move into new chapters. It is deeply rewarding — simply in a different way than nursing would have been. Balancing career and family remains my priority, and I am driven by my commitment to being a mom first. Real estate has allowed us to build a meaningful and fulfilling life.”

Jennifer owns a farmhouse on the north side of Colorado Springs, which Jake calls “his territory.” Together they grow vegetables, herbs, and gardens, and maintain a thriving apiary with Italian honeybees. She is an advocate within the Autism community, a proud supporter of the military and first responders, and supports Jake in his thriving career as an artist. They also host memorable Murder Mystery dinners in their 140-year-old barn.
